The child rights
In Islam
The Second Right
((Verification of Lineage))
Lineage affirms the welfare of the whole community. It is a strong relation that unites all the families which are parts of the society. Actually, the family is the origin of all societies .
Lineage allows the father to have guardianship over his young child and gives him the right to take him back when the period of nursing is over, and the right to inherit the child if he died before his father. Lineage requires the son to support his needy father if he can afford it.
On the other hand, lineage ensures many rights for child. Some of which are the right of support, the right of suckling, the right of nursing, the right of inheritance, and some other rights confirmed by the Islamic law.
Allah, the almighty, says:
((It is he who has created man from water:then has he established relationships of lineage and marriage:for thy Lord has power (over all things).
Note:this passege is captured from book which is called:"the child rights in islam", by:Kawther M. Al-Minawi.
My comment:it is important to know this .. because that is from islamic laws.. anyhow.. I have to mention :
Allah, the almighty , says in holy quraan :"call them by after their fathers: that is juster in the sight of Allah. But if ye know not their fathers' names, ( then they are) your brothers in faith, or your friends.".(Al-Ahzab:5).
in this situation , you are commanded to call those children to their fathers, when known...
And if their fathers are unknown by name, then they are your brothers .
